Marijuana contains chemicals and compounds that can harmful to the human body after long-term use. Though users think that the “high” sensation or the effects the high gives them is temporary, there have been studies that show long term effects of chronic weed smoking.

There are lung issues that are fatal and difficult to cure. In most cases, quitting smoking marijuana is the only way to ensure your lung can heal or would no longer be susceptible to deceases.

Smoking weed can also increase your chances of getting a heart attack. One side effect of smoking weed is increased heart rate. A heart attack is only one of the few heart problems that is caused by increased heart rate.

As time goes by, smoking weed for a long time may also leave some residue inside your body. These residue are not normally inside a human body and can poses a great threat to ones’ health. It could block arteries and blood vessels that may cause stroke.
